I keep getting this pop up from windows that saying 1234.
thats it...just 1234. and saying windows in the corner.
and then tonight i was on the computer and all of a sudden it just shut down on me!
when i went to start it again it shut off again.
then i turned it on and shut it off myself, and did a system restore.
After the restore, I was on for about 10 minutes and the computer shut off on me again.
Once again, I restored, and here i am!
Please help me! what's wrong with my computer?! How can I fix it?!
Thank you for your time.

hi its datta
all u need to do format ur pc
because ur system have been corrupted
there is no other way than formatting
Hold up, I wouldn't go formatting it just yet. Perhaps your computer is overheating? Before your computer starts up, it will go to that black screen with the white writing. Press "del" a few times and you will go into the BIOS setup. Be careful here, don't mess around. Navigate into your PC Health Status section (may not be named exactly this), and check the temperatures of your CPU and Core(s). If they are above 75oC for CPU, or 45oC for your Core, you are running too hot. You may need to clean out your system or buy a new fan.
Also that "1234" may be some sort of virus. Have you got sufficient virus protection software? Perhaps you could download something like PC Tools Spyware Doctor, or buy McAfee or Norton Anti-Virus. They're all good programs for this sort of thing.
Also can you tell if your monitor is making the "1234" or if it's your computer. This might help a bit.
is it saying 0x1234 or just 1234. If it's 1234 then someone is playing a prank...otherwise if it's 0x1234 then it's a worm problem.
Move away from windows if possible, you wont ever face these troubles in Apple or Linux Fedora...
hi kendraho, the best way to slove this is reboot when you see your windows logo start tapping f8 that's right we are going to a safe mode screen scrol down to last time my system was configurated correctly (advanced) now when you get back to your desktop then hit start>settings>control panel hit internet options and delete history and cookies (cookies sounds good i'm on a diet) not exit now hit start>programs>accessories>system tools scrol down to defragment. this is very important to finish this step. like you well know this takes awhile but when it is done see how it acts maybe it was a problem with something in your cookies. good luck hope i was helpful to you
