I sort of accidentally pressed some random keys on my laptop, and then the next thing I know, the mouse thingy on my laptop won't work.. and the cursor is frozen on the screen. But if I plug in a wired mouse to my computer, it does work... So, I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what's wrong and how to fix this problem? Thank you!. Have you tried rebooting the machine! That normally resets the settings... It would also help to know the brand and model number of the laptop so we can tell you which button to undo....Some Compaq laptop has an off/on button key... Try locating that off/on for touchpad on the keyboard or google for a manual on the internet
