I am not stupid. Ignorant, but not stupid. Having said all this, how do I delete my temporary Ie files? I did the whole tools- internet options and delete cookies and files. But when I right click on the properties of C:\Documents and Settings\eric\Local Settings it says I have near 800 mb of stuff in there but when I click in, mysteriously, there is nothing there. Wooooooooooooo.....Anyone got any ideas?

there is a good chance that number will go away when you clear out the recycle bin.
Try this software to wipe out your temp files to help prevent Worms and viruses.

go to your hard drive weather it be C: or D: or whatever, then go to the windows folder, then the folder that says temp and delete all the files in that folder. Note some may say unable to delete this is ok because they are in use. if this doesn't help go back and enter the system 32 folder and sort the files by type then scroll down until you find the files with the extension .tmp and delete all those if you have them.
The "local settings" folder stores more than just temporary internet files.
If you want, you can download one of these programs to get rid of temp inet files and just temp files.
