Slow Cooker Pot Roast

2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix

1 1/4 cups water

5 1/2 pounds pot roast

In a slow cooker, mix cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix and water. Place pot roast in slow cooker and coat with soup mixture.

Cook on High setting for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low setting for 8 to 9 hours.

Serves 12.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings - Also VERY good;

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

2 tablespoons butter

2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup

1 onion, finely diced

2 (10 ounce) packages refrigerated biscuit dough, torn into pieces

Place the chicken, butter, soup, and onion in a slow cooker, and fill with enough water to cover.

Cover, and cook for 5 to 6 hours on High. About 30 minutes before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.

Serves 8.

Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs - also good;

4 pounds pork baby back ribs

salt and pepper to taste

2 cups ketchup

1 cup chili sauce

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

4 tablespoons vinegar

2 teaspoons dried oregano

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 dash hot sauce

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Season ribs with salt and pepper. Place in a shallow baking pan. Brown in oven 15 minutes. Turn over, and brown another 15 minutes; drain fat.

In a medium bowl, mix together the ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and salt and pepper. Place ribs in slow cooker. Pour sauce over ribs, and turn to coat.

Cover, and cook on Low 6 to 8 hours, or until ribs are tender.

Serves 8.

Cranberry Pork Loin

1 large can cranberry sauce

2 packages onion soup mix

1 5 -6 pound pork loin

Place cranberry sauce and soup mix in a slow cooker. Mash with a fork to mix well. Place pork in slow cooker and spoon some of the mixture on the top. Cook covered on high for 4 -5 hours. Remove meat to platter & cover with foil. Mix until well blended 3 tablespoons butter and 3 tablespoons flour. Stir into sauce and let thicken. Slice meat and return to sauce to keep warm. Serve with buttered noodles and a salad.

Here is something very simple to do....

We call it Chicken stuff

1 Can of Stovetop

2-3 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts

1 Bottle Hidden Valley Ranch or any ranch I just prefer that taste

½ Stick Butter

Minced Garlic or Garlic Powder, to taste

Minced Onion or Onion Powder, to taste

(I don’t use them but salt and pepper to taste if you desire)

Directions

1. Chop chicken into bite size pieces or for a time saver leave them whole just make sure you have a breast for everyone. Add butter and chicken to 6 quart slowcooker. Add spices. Cook on high until cooked through or on low if cooking all day. Remove broth when completed.

2. Add ranch and stir well.

3. Add stove top ½ hour before serving.

4. When ready to serve mix it all together.
