There seems to be a big difference between how fathers and mothers view their sons having sex. Whereas mothers never want to hear about it, dads are oftentimes proud when their sons lose their virginity. Has anybody experienced this?

Not all dads are. I'm pretty sure my dad would have a fit if my brothers were having sex with girls.
Well the reason for this is a mother and fathers expectations and desires when it comes to their child.
a mother wants her son to remain her little boy, ie: innocent, and sex clearly shows that her son is growing up.
a father wants his son to be a man, be strong, tough, etc. and they think that by having sex their son had matured into a man.
its all different in the end for different parents but i think ALL families should stress that sex should involve mutual agreement and contraception unless you are actually looking to have a baby.
I understand that a father doesn't want his child to grow up gay or grow up too old and still be a virgin but it bothers me still, because it's not like they can't get a girl pregnant. It's very common in most fathers.
No. My dad wasn't proud. I doubt I'll be proud. It doesn't take a whole lot of talent to lose your virginity.
Nice 50s stereotypes, kids.
