I have a friend who's Dell 630i computer freezes randomly. Dell has been unable to help him. Has anyone heard of a fix for this? Dell's site has a huge thread about the problem, but no apparent solution.
Update:I should note. The problems occurred right out of the box. Spyware is not an issue, as the system was not yet on the internet.
A review of the Dell forums finds the problem prevalent. References seem to indicate voltage problems. My friend has bumped the voltage up, slightly, per the forums. We'll see how it goes.
He is past the 21 day limit for returning the system, and Dell never proposed returning it.
Any other ideas?
