It was probably just some random mucus. When I lost my mucus plug, it was a large amount, like more than a couple of tablespoons of glop.

you can definetly lose your mucus plug bits at a time and it can either be clear,greyish,yellowish,pink tinged or dotted with blood or with brown(old blood). I know this is a silly Q but you hadnt had sex really recently had you?because then it might of been sperm as this is similar in consistency since the show and sperm r both stringy.normally it comes in a big snot like blob but can come out in little bits aswl.(like mine did with my 1st)

When I lost mine with my first pregnancy, it didn't all come out at once, but it was somewhat like what you're describing. Except bloody. (That is why it's called the bloody show)

Just keep an eye on your toilet paper, and watch for blood, then you'll know!
