I have been taking ADHD drugs for the past 6 years and I come to believe that it is affecting my intuition and creativity. I use to be very intuitive and can predict people next move with a split second.
However, after taking the ADHD drugs, I no longer have such abilities to use my intuition. It's like I am oblivious to people's underlining hints, which I was really good at doing before the meds, I can no longer read behind the lines. It' sucks.
Any one else have this problem?

Many people 'lose' something about themselves when they go on medication for mental health issues.
The real question is, what have you gained?
You may be less intuitive and that may very well suck - but have you gained things that make that sacrifice worthwhile? The ability to do well in school or hold a job? Friends that have stuck by you? Less fights and tension at home? Less broken possessions that you really liked?
It does suck not being able to have everything the way you want it, but everyone has to sacrifice something to make their lives better in the long run.
ADHD or not.
Yeah, I've had the loss of creativity feeling as well as just a sense of being different. Sometimes it helps to take a day off, when you don't have anything important to do. A weekend without stimulants can help a lot. Just remember to get back on them, sometimes breaking the routine causes some problems
I specific wish they do no longer! :( I actual have ADHD (clinically determined with the help of a psychologist and a psychiatrist) and that i'm approximately to commence taking non-stimulant Strattera. I actual have certainly one of those quickly metabolism that i've got been examined thrice interior the final 10 years or so, for hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid). I continuously prove interior the traditional variety, albeit closer to the "quickly" end of regular. besides, I actual have severe hopes for Strattera, with the aid of fact with the aid of my severe sensitivity to stimulants like caffeine and albuterol (an bronchial asthma inhaler), my psychiatrist thinks the stimulant-based ADHD drugs (Ritalin, Adderall, Concerta) could be poorly tolerated with the help of my physique. in spite of the fact that, if Strattera motives weight alleviation, i'm hoping it does not reason it for ME, considering that I actual have a clearly slender equipped and the dang metabolism element makes it stressful for me to income weight. do no longer giggle -- being underweight has its very own well-being detrimental aspects! :( it rather is not as undesirable as obese, in spite of the fact that it *IS* undesirable. P.S. i replaced into till now on Wellbutrin (bupropion) and that i had to stop it. It made me commence dropping weight and likewise brought about insomnia, and that replaced into on basically seventy 5 mg!! maximum people use a minimum of a hundred and fifty mg till now they have those factor outcomes. i assume i'm purely a freak *sigh* i'm hoping you have extra appropriate luck than me! :)
I have taken them before and have stayed up for 168 hours straight on them. Trust me, by then you lose a little more than your intuition.
