Do all rental car companies run your driving record when you pick up a car?
Or do they just make sure your license hasn't expired?
Update:Hertz, specifically. The DMV in my area is messed up, supposedly my license was suspended and they said they took care of it and reinstated it, but I'm traveling this weekend and need to rent a car and I don't trust that the DMV has taken care of it!

They want to see your license and your credit card. They don't run your record.
they do not run you driving record but you should have gotten a paper from the DMV stating that your license was reinstated
They just want to see a valid drivers license and credit card. It is not their intent or responsibility to check your driving record.
they just look at the license is valid, ie in date. if you get into an accident, big trouble since you committed fraud by lying.
also, if pulled over, they may impound the vehicle. i would hate to see the rental companies add on fees.
The latter, I've never seen one that runs your record.
