I've already searched for an answer, but none of the answers were specific enough. Does a lip piercing hole close up completely after taking out the jewelery or does the hole stay there but just closes up a little, only making it a little more difficult to put in the stud/ring. I ask because my ear is pierced and I haven't put in an earring for over 2 years but the hole is still there and capable of having an earring in it, I just have to push a little harder. The same thing happens to my mom's navel piercing. Any help would be appreciated.
Update:But what if I want the hole to close up? After 6 months will the hole completely close up?

the hole will close its as simple as that, it will completely close if you take the jewelry out and leave it out. the hole will close in a couple of days, its a very fast healing piercing
ears, navel and lip are 3 completely different piercings
it depends on how long u've had the piercing
if u've had it for longer than like 6months and u've kept the stud in then u should be able to take it out and it will be fine
but if u just got it 2 weeks ago, it'll close up alot and be really hard to get the stud back in
