my husky has a runner out side and alot of times shes out there for a while by her-self cuz i get cought up in other things, and when i go out there, shes REALLY lovey and when i leave she looks just sad =( so does she feel punished?help?
No, she doesn't feel punished but she would LOVE if you played more with her. Dogs needs the connection and the love from you, just like if you had a child. A dog is not a child, but they have the same feelings as a human at least many of them. She needs to be played with at least once a day, and I am sure she loves surprises, so when you play with her she gets all excited because you decided to spend some time with her. Listen to her what she is trying to tell you, and I am sure you will soon speak a language that you both understand. Look up a book that is called The Loved Dog by Tamar Geller and you will soon understand what needs to be met by you as an owner. It really is a wonderful book which is written by the first lady in the LA area who opened a doggy daycare in the mid 90's.
You dog just need some attention. That is all :) After all, she loves you!!
Dogs are social animals and you are part of their pack. So, while I don't believe she feels punished, she probably feels lonely. Have you considered getting a second dog to keep her company?

Dogs see you as part of their pack. They don't like to be separated from you. She is sad when you leave her alone.
