Ok, here is the deal, I recently ordered an ipod off ebay, paid, then the seller sent me an e-mail claiming he sent the item (he said he would send within 1 day but sent within 4), I have still not received the item and 9 days have passed, and delivery was meant to be within 7 days. Will I still receive my item? If I don't receive the ipod and seller claims he sent the item will I still get a refund or do I stand to just lose my money? Please give me some tips for this situation as it is a lot of money involved

HI
I has been using ebay for years... I had a similar situation. I paid over $300 for an item that was supposed to be shipped with 1 days... well 10 days later the item still didn't arrive & the emails from the seller were few and far between with " I am going to the post office".
If you open a dispute the payment you made is removed from the sellers account and frozen.
That may help to get them moving!!!!!!
FYI - after 3 weeks I received the item & no longer wanted it since it took so long to receive I has to purchase a similar item somewhere else... I argued with Paypal/Ebay ( BOTH HORRIBLE,HORRIBLE to deal with) that the contract was to receive it within 7 days and that was broken so I wanted a refund ( this was over $300) -- they said tuff - so I did get the product eventually - but I was stuff with it!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
Do you or the other people have insurance on this item? It could be the mail is slow this time of year. If you get no where with the seller, you can report item not received thur ebay. Ebay will sort this out. When ever I buy from ebay I make sure that insurance is offered. Good Luck!
I've never been taken on ebay after 6 years with them. My tip to you is to carefully review the feedback profile of the buyer before you buy. See how reliable he has been with the last hundred or so transactions.
