Unless this is your first guitar, I'd save up a bit more, as both are pretty low-end instruments. Shoot for the $350 range or so (the difference in quality at that point is pretty major)

If it is your first guitar, I would recommend the LP-100 over the Special II.

I somewhat have a black Epiphone Les Paul particular II and that i like it. i these days have been given a PRS Soapbar II (~$500) and that i somewhat can't sell me epiphone. it somewhat is an extremely stable guitar, i don't be attentive to with regard to the a hundred yet i like the particular II.
