I find it a little odd how Youtube deletes gaming videos without commentary because of copy infringement. I have a question - Fair use applies as long as your gaming video is part of a review (eg: it has a commentary).
What if the gaming video contains no commentary but is part of a review article covering the game (outside YouTube).
Fair use or not?

Not necessarily just commentary...fair use means you are using a SHORT clip of the game to show as a review (basically for educational or informational purposes, such as a news segment).
The reason you see a lot of gameplay commentaries (and some just plain gameplay) on YouTube that haven't been removed is because the owners of that content (the gaming company) has chosen not to have the videos removed. They serve as essentially free advertising for the companies when people upload gameplay footage. Not that it makes it legal to upload, but the companies just choose to let it slide so that they get the free advertising off of them.
So probably not fair use eligible, but very unlikely that your video would be removed (especially if there are already other videos of the same game up online).
If its Multiplayer its not considered copyright if its the story line of a game then its copyright material I think if its campaign strategy I think its ok I have game videos on youtube paravain2 and I never had a problem
