So that little pop up that says "Viruses were found on your computer" came up just a few minutes ago on my computer. I closed the tab, but was just now reading that I should have shut it down another way...Is my computer infected now? What should I do? I can find a bunch of stuff on what to do if you installed it, but I can't find anything about clicking closed the page. So now I'm really worried.Update:I forgot to mention that I was running Microsoft Security Essentials. I did a full scan and nothing came up.. that pop up is the virus. you need to download one AntiVirus software. AVG or Avast are good. make sure its updated. Download one of these SuperAntiSpyware or Malwarebytes. make sure its updated. Start PC in safe mode. Scan using AV first. after scan, clean up whatever. Restart may be required. restart in normal mode. once up. Restart in safe mode again. Scan using Antispyware/Malware. again after scan, restart may be required. Restart in normal mode. everything should be fine.
