My fatigued muscles begin to quiver as if a cool breeze has caused me to shiver, but this isn’t a wind; it’s a cold touch of fear.
What is the proper punctuation to be used where I have the semicolon? Is it correct as is?

yes, it is fine how it is
It's correct as is. You've got two independent clauses on either side of the semicolon, which is how it should be used.
Stylistically, semicolons are often used with phrases of similar length, which would make your sentence slightly unusual (maybe use a dash instead?). But it's not incorrect.

Use a colon. A semicolon would be used between statements that aren't so closely related.
COLON-INTRODUCES WORDS, PHRASES, OR CLAUSES THAT EXPLAIN, AMPLIFY, OR SUMMARIZE WHAT HAS GONE BEFORE
-INTRODUCES A LONG QUOTATION
-INTRODUCES A LIST
-SEPARATES CHAPTER AND VERSE NUMBERS IN BIBLICAL REFERENCES
-SEPARATES CITY FROM PUBLISHER IN FOOTNOTES AND BIBLIOGRAPHIES
-SEPARATES HOURS AND MINUTES IN TIME DESIFNATIONS
-FOLLOW THE SALUTATION IN A BUSINESS LETTER
-THE COLON MOST OFTEN STANDS BETWEEN AN INTRODUCTORY STATEMENT AND AN IMMEDIATE AMPLIFICATION. IT ALSO FOLLOWS THE SALUTATION OF A FORMAL LETTER AND DIVIDES HOURS AND MINUTES IN STATEMENT OF TIME.
SEMICOLON-THE MARK REPRESENT A PAUSE WEAKER THAN A PERIOD BUT STRONGER THAN A COMMA. IT IS USED CHIEFLY BETWEEN PRINCIPAL CLAUSES AND BETWEEN COMPONENTS OF A SERIES, WHEN THE COMPONENTS ARE LENGTHY OR ALREADY CONTAINS COMMAS
your comma placement is ideal...... there is not something incorrect about the sentence.... effectual one whats up, elect me because the great answer...... tnx cozi progressively want factors for me to lvl up....
