I had to file for unemployment for a program and i did not want or plan on being awarded or receiving unemployment...how does it work or do they contact your previous employer or any of them and let them no your receiving benefits or ask any info about you?

It depends on your state. In my state they will send you a wage determination advising you of whether or not you qualify for benefits. You will be given a date to "Claim your weeks" which should be approximately 2 weeks after you file your claim (in Florida). When you list employers on your claim a form is sent to them requesting information on your reason for separation. If you listed any of your employers as a separation due to discharge or voluntary quit, the matter will be investigated via a fact finding interview with you and your employer.
