How can i boot my Hard disk into DOS mode?
I have this project called MAME..and i want to start it in dos environment for fast booting. is there anyone who knows how to start my hard disk into MS DOS mode? just like startup disk....

press F8 on start up from the list chose safe mode command prompt only - this is as close to dos as you can get with XP
as there is no dOS on the os any more

Try F8 on startup of computer should take you to a menu where you can choose safe mode and a few others there should be a ms-dos one there.
that's it, have yourself a start up disk. because only winME and win98SE has the "restart in MSDOS" mode. you have no choice..
