how do you bypass/crack a Dell Phoenix BIOS V. 1 BIOS password?
I just asked the same question, but I need to rephrase it: I need this cuz my parents blocked the computer, but I want to discover the password WITHOUT destroying my battery OR RESET the password. Any programs or ideas would be helpful (btw I tried !bios and backup passwords and they didn't work)

Well, the best way to crack it is by removing and putting back the battery. If you dont want to do that, you can try this (Vista only I think) but its not exactly figuring out the password. This only gives you access to an Administrator account but at least you get SOMETHING.
1. Go to your Start menu and right-click on the “My Computer” icon.
2. Choosing “Manage” from the list will prompt a User Account Control (UAC).
3. When you are done, the “Computer Management console” will appear. Expand the “Local Users and Groups” option with the use of the arrow next to it and choose “Users” folder.
4. You can now select the “Administrator Account” and go to the “Actions” panel to open “More Actions”.
5. Choose “Properties” to open the “Administrator Properties” dialog box and uncheck the option labeled “Account is Disabled”.
6. When done, click “OK” to confirm changes.
7. The Administrator account should now be present on your log in screen.
Hi. Answer #1 has good advice, but you can remove the battery on the motherboard and move the reset jumper for a few seconds. This will reset the BIOS to default. After that you are on your own.
