What is the operating system that you are using, if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7. Windows 7 can automatically detect your TV, or if you installed your graphics driver, it should have the utility to detect and add additional monitor(your TV will be treated as a monitor). kindly check if your drivers and settings are properly installed and configured. for example on my lenovo running windows 7 I plug the S-Video to RCA Cable and Run the Intel Display Wizard(Im on Integrated Intel Graphics). then from there you should be able to select whether you want it to be mirrored, spanned(your desktop/taskbar is extended to the next display) or dual display(your primary monitor will consist the taskbar and the secondary, which i presume your TV will have non, but you can still move windows on it). When using Media Center, it will automatically detect your TV and start from there, unlike other multimedia application which will play on primary monitor, eg. Power Point presentation.
Which cable are you utilising? because of copyright secure practices regulations for top-definition content, you will could desire to apply an HDMI cable, if utilising the blue-ray participant on your computer. not sure if a VGA cable will artwork.
