I ALWAYSSSSSSSSSS hear people say it doesn't spread when you touch it. How can this be true? People say that the rash only occurs places that have been exposed to the plant....
OKay well from my memory I don't remember having my shirt off and rolling around on poison ivy. I currently have it and it started on my legs (where I'm sure the plant touched) but now it's on places such as my back where the plant couldn't have possibly touched it. I definitely scratched it in the beginning and it only makes sense for it to have spread that way....
Who knows for sure the CORRECT answer? thanks

When your get the rash, it creates an oil like substance that speeds up spreading. If the pores where you got it at first are open from scratching, it will be incredibly easy to spread.
