I think I eventually may want to live in Colorado, and if I ever have kids, I will likely homeschool them. How homeschool friendly is Colorado in terms of restrictions on homeschooling, availability of extracurricular activities, support groups, etc? What have your experiences been like?
Update:Alex - Because I'd much rather they have an exceptionally good education. Just "decent" doesn't cut it with me.

I think you need to wait awhile before crossing that bridge. It's nice to plan, but home school laws and regulations change occasionally. A state that has moderate oversight, may change as the political climate does. Lawyers are always trying to make more laws to make more legal business and the majority of legislators are - guess what? - lawyers!
If you want to look up Colorado (or another state) visit

Check out the Homeschool Legal Defense Fund. They keep track of all the states:

State requires parents to send notification, test scores, and/or professional evaluation of student progress.
Go to the website in my sources. They have more information on it.
I don't think that you should home school kids. They wont get out of the house and it really wont teach them how to become individuals. I went to a catholic school and it was probably the best for me because you learn a lot of values, and you learn how to grow into your own skin and be comfortable with yourself.
Why wouldnt you want your kids to have a decent education?
