how long after you lose your mucus plug do you go into labor?
i am close to 40 weeks pregnant and i lost my mucus plug this is my first child and i need to know so i can be ready
Update:and can i still have sex cuz i want to make sure the baby's head is still protected

There's really no way to tell. I lost half of my mucus plug 2 weeks before delivery then lost the second half 3 days before. The baby's head is still protected, and they say it's safe as long as your water hasn't broken. But you mucus plug is what protects your baby against infection, so just make sure everything is clean.

Ur 40 weeks u Dnt have long anyways but I'll tell u 2 b honest I lost mine 4 two months bits & pieces ... No worries every1 is different but I Dnt see u goin much longer Gud luck :)
2 weeks 5 days. I went into labour at 40 weeks 3 days. My friend just went into labour tonight at 40 weeks 3 days as well. Yes you can still have sex, until your water breaks.
