I've been using my S3 as an MP3 player in my car, and I usually just stream Pandora or Spotify playlists, rather than my own music. My problem is, I'm on Verizon's 2GB data cap, and I want to make sure I won't go over the limit. Any idea how much data, say, an hour's worth of Pandora/Spotify uses? That would at least give me a good starting point to calculate it all out and figure out if I need to upgrade to the 5GB or 10GB packages.

One hour on Spotify is about 72MB. That's 15 hours of streaming give or take on a 2GB connection. Assuming you use the web for other things too, I'd be careful on the music.
Also, LOOK UP YOUR FAIR USAGE WINDOWS! If you go over an allotted amount in a day/week it'll kill your connection speeds for a period.

You can download Spotify for free here http://j.mp/1zK96CW.
Spotify is a commercial music streaming service.Music can be browsed or searched by artist, album, genre, playlist, or record label.
Hard to calculate because Spotify has a cache that will automatically store heaps of data. You can limit the cache to 1GB but it still fills up pretty quickly. I'd guess 50MB to 100MB an hour.
