when she goes to the hospital to get checked out, would they be able to find out right away if she was pregnant at the hospital? Or would some time need to pass? In this case not a home pregnancy test, but a professional one at the hospital. Thanks
Update:Oh, just fyi I wasn't a victim or anything...it's for a story I'm writting. Thanks

If a woman goes to a hospital within 5 days of being raped, they will give her Plan B. Although most effective if taken within 24 hours, it can work up to 5 days after. It's about 90% effective.
They can do a blood test, which is more sensitive than a home urine test. However, it probably won't be able to detect pregnancy at least 5 days after ovulation.
If you (or a friend) were raped, please contact RAINN at RAINN.org. They have a chat and a 24/7 hotline. IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT.
A test at a hospital, blood or urine, won't take as long as a home test to find out but it'll still take some time. It won't show up right away if there is a pregnancy.
At least 2 weeks would have to pass before knowing if one is pregnant or not.
