Well I'm not exactly sure. I see some christians who think it is evil & satanic, while other christians do astral projection themselves. Regardless if astral projection is considered to be wrong by christians, that doesn't mean there is something wrong with astral projection, perhaps there is something wrong with christianity. I'm not attacking the whole religion here, but I'm just saying astral projection is a perfectly normal natural thing anyone can do. If someone thinks it's wrong they need to educate themselves more about it. As most of these claims of astral projection being evil come from those who misunderstand it. We all have unconscious projections every night, so there is nothing wrong with turning them into conscious projections. I believe there are references to astral projection throughout the bible as well. I do not think it goes against the bible.

Astral is a paranormal thing and I don't think it's against the bible but I don't know about Christianity.

I dont believe it talks about leaving the self in the bible.

I guess unless your christian friends dont believe in astal projection, then you might have some 'splaining to do.
