Some do consider convertibles to be girly, but I don't find the Del Sol falls into that category. It looks like a pocket rocket to me.
Girly Hubcaps
no it's not girly unless you make it that way.....in response to the other guys about the fords......don't do it to yourself!!! found on road dead.....fixed or repaired daily???
and no, you won't be able to find a gsr for 4000....maybe just the motor, but where you gonna put it on your bike???
you can't go wrong with a honda....i have 3 right now....a 94 coupe and 2 crx's....and if the motor in that del sol, is a b16a, you're already ahead of the game in the racing aspect.....that is the easiest swap and also one of the more inexpensive.....but it also moves and can take a beating.....bottom line, is you'll have one hell of a fast car only problem is you won't be able to pick up more then one friend..lol
If it is in good shape, and has some performance modifications and real wheels (no wheel covers) then it isn't that girly.
Make sure it is a manual too, automatic Hondas make the owner look pathetic in my book. And in my opinion not as many females drive stick as males. Keep the interior stock or make it look more racey, but don't just put seat covers on it. That looks cheap and immature. If you change the interior change a lot and get name-brand stuff. Mugen is a good company too work with with Hondas.
if you are questioning yourself about buying a vehicle, don't buy it...plain and simple...the vehicle you buy should be something that you saw,you loved you bought no questions about it...I know some guys that drive del sol's they are ok i guess but lack versatility...one passenger, not very good for the winter(i live in canada) , can't strap a canoe on it, little trunk space...but by the sounds of it you are looking for a car with image...id take the civics...no one will ever say bad things about them, very reliable, and much more versatile...not to mention will be cheaper on insurance...happy shopping
A stock del sol is very weak. I'd get a Integra GSR for $4000.
I don't know, personally I think they are a bit sporty and look pretty cool, but if you are on a budget, make sure you do a bunch of research before deciding....
Good Luck : )
They're sporty. My friend had one, made some mods, and that thing flew! He beat tons of people in a race because they underestimate it. Its very light, and can be powerful.
Yes If it's stock now if put a bodykit or lipkit on it it would look less girly.
It depends on what you do with it but yes it is you should go with the new toyota celica it has god like abilities
