To keep it simple - your CPU has 2 cores, but can process 4 threads "at the same time", so it's essentially a 2-core processor..
You "can't be bothered" to research, yet you have time to type this question?
Okay, hero ... you have an Intel prototype "octo-core" computer ... 8 physical cores, and with hyperthreading, that's 16 virtual cores. That's a monster of a CPU, son.
Since you're not going to do a 2-second Google search and find out ...
Its a Dual Core CPU...So it only has 2 physical cores but it has hyper threading technology.........
Hyper-threading enables multi-threaded software applications to execute two software threads in parallel to improve system responsiveness. Intel Core i5 enabled with HT Technology delivers performance and multitasking gains that result in increased productivity and efficiency.

Yes intel i3 , i5 and i7's are quad cores :)
