my laptop refuses to boot when i start it up. Whenever i hit the power button more specifically the lights first come on, then the fan flares for a second, then its silence. after about 30-45 seconds the lights go off, sometimes coming on again. this problem has been going on for about a year and a half now and my computer only works sporadically. i removed the battery, and did the whole hold the power button thing but it doesn't work when i do that. i've cycled the ram around, got new ram, tried with the old ram again but it still hasn't worked. i removed my second OS ubuntu and kept my old OS vista, and did a bios fix or restore or whatever. I really need my computer for life and school because i don't have much money and whoever can answer this question will easily earn a quick 5 stars if it works, 4 even if it doesn't. thank you.
