I'm a student and I need a new macbook asap but I'm not sure which one should I buy.
I would probably save a lot of music, videos, movies, presentations, pictures, documents and a lot more. And I would use it a lot since I have to save a lot of research stuff and all..
I've read that to get extra RAM would cost a lot so it's better to get the 16GB.
Is it possible if I get the 8GB and save some of my movies and videos inside my hard disk ?
Is the 8GB enough though? If so I would prefer to get it since it's cheaper :)
So... 8GB or 16GB?

What you listed in your question is RAM. Nothing to do with how much data your computer can save, but it can affect how well it will load programs, how well it multitasks and how quick it is with lots of programs going at once. RAM does not save any user files, your hard drive or SSD does. 8GB is fine for most people
The RAM is for running applications and has nothing to do with your disk space which you'd be saving your movies etc. 8GB would be fine for someone like you.
