Here are my specs:
6870 video card
1tb Hard drive
i5 processor
600hz power supply
8gb ram
My video card has crashed and stopped working entirely. This is the second card ive gone through, and it always happens during a game. Before it was during Skyrim. This time during Modern Warfare 3.
Any solutions as to why its happening and how to avoid it from ever happening again?
Update:The card calls for 500-600 supply

get a 1000 watt power supply
Either it's a problem with the power supply, or something is wrong with the video card.
I seriously recommend a 750 watt power supply that has an 80 plus stamp on it.
The power supply in this computer should be a very good one, (corsair, Antec, Cooler master, thermaltake etc.)
i don't think the fault is with your graphics card. i guess fault is with windows. which windows are u using? if it always happens then backup your files, format and reinstall windows. also try a different windows if u can get the drivers for it
are u sure your pc can run the games? go to www.systemrequirementslab.com and check. the site will analyze your pc and check
you can also send email to support of game and ask
be careful. i don't think u should change the power supply. each computer is configured to run at a certain power level. the adapter will convert the power level of the electricity from the wall plug to the power level of the computer. if u get a different adapter with a different power level u will be giving your computer a different power level. if it gets less than what is needed then the computer will not run. if it gets more than what is needed then the motherboard will blow up. check with a pc shop if u want to change adapter
This could be the result of a few things.
I would suggest deleting and reinstalling your video drivers or using a previous version of drivers.
If that doesn't provide a solution you could have faulty hardware which might include components such as the motherboard, memory or the video card again. A faulty motherboard can also burn out other components and cause blue screen errors.
If your computer included diagnostic or utility disks you could use those to determine if there's faulty hardware, otherwise you'll have to take it into a computer service shop.
your power supply is crap get a new one...
