do you like sushi? if so, go to genki sushi in the maui mall. if sushi isn't your thing, there's dragon dragon there also for chinese food. or you can go to ka'ahumanu shopping center and go to koho's bar and grill for local kine food or ruby's for burgers and fries. i've been to all of those places for birthday dinners when we didn't want to go all the way to lahaina. damn, i miss my home!! i can't wait to go back so i can go to dragon dragon for their ono pork chops, koho's for one teriyaki chicken plate lunch or chicken fajitas, genki for all kine sushi or ruby's just to see my friend who works their. none of these places are fancy so it can just be a casual birthday dinner. if you go to ruby's and someone tells them it's your birthday they'll sing you the happy birthday song and give you free dessert...we did that even when it wasn't our birthdays...lol. have fun!!
oh, and i answered this question thinking that you aren't from maui...if you are then you've probably been to all of these places already!
edit...who gave my friend michelle up there a thumbs down? she gave a good restaurant name that wasn't in kihei or lahaina.
as for the birthday girl i wanted to add. you can also watch a movie before or after dinner and then go to fun factory after the movie to turn in your ticket stub for a free token. yes, i know it's only one token but then that can be your lucky token! haha...i miss nights like these, dinner, movie and then fun factory! im 21 now and would still enjoy it...i love fun factory!
How about 'Mamas Fish House'? Expensive but worth it...We love the food and the Atmosphere...I think you would love being here for your 15th...BTW...Hau 'oli La Hanau ! ~~Aloha~~Michelle~~
