Minor's Passport renewal?
I need to get a new passport because mine expired. I am a minor. My parents are divorced and I am going on vacation with my dad's step family. But my father is not going either just my step mother. What do I and my parents do?

US and how old?
If you are 15 or younger, both parents must appear with you at an acceptance agency, usually a local USPS. If the non-custodial parent gives permission for the passport via a notarized statement, only the other need appear. You will get a 5 year minor passport.

If you are 16 or 17, only one parent needs to appear with you. You will get the 10 year adult passport.
Normal processing is 4-6 weeks.
