Must-see places en-route Virginia to California?
my family will be moving from Virginia to California and plan to make it a road trip.. hopefully a happy and memorable one. what places should we include in our itinerary? interested in natural wonders and places of beauty. naturally, we'd stay a day or 2 in each place we decide to see, as its a long journey and we would need breaks. please advise. thanks a ton!

Route 66( current hwy 40), there are many national parks along especially near New Mexico, Arizona, Utah area
This isn't a natural wonder, but if you go through the south, you can hit Graceland in Tennessee. Then, once you are out in the west, you can hit the Grand Canyon, Arches, or any of the parks in southern Utah. In Nevada is the hoover dam. In California you have lots of parks, depending on which way you go.

Depends if you are going to No Cal or So Cal.They are 700 miles apart and completely different routes.
Wholly authentic, I discovered when I left home for extra then just a month or two.. There may be really no such location that can make you suppose like home except your homeland or nation.
