Without any changes in the modem (the lights keep blinking as usual) and without my computer saying that the connection is down, I can't browse any pages not even the 192.168.1.1.... the only thing that fixes the problem is either restarting my router or my pc which is highly annoying considering the fact that I play online games.... I also got a new modem (thought it was just an issue of the old one) and still have the same issue... any ideas?
Update:Also I'm a complete idiot when it comes to fixing computer things so please try to make your answers "stupid" friendly if possible xD

Usually this problem is solved by replacing the modem. But since you did that, then I would guess it is the ISP that is at fault. Call and complain and maybe they will replace their defective equipment.
On the other hand, it might be a case of dirty power causing the modem to hang. Plug the modem into a UPS to clean up the dips and spikes and you might never have that problem again.
Sorry, a UPS is an "Uninteruptable Power Supply" which should be sold in the same stores that sell computers.
