My s2 had many contacts inside,even tho it looked new and didnt ave one stract.It had many contacts inside with adresses of all the contacts...Kinda like a bussinessman contacts...My first suspection was that it was stolen,so i decided to return it tommorow.Was this the right choice?
Update:The phone was on german and i bought it from a private store owner,the box isnt retail it just says samsung on it

When you sync your phone with a Google account, it will automatically sync all your GMail contacts to your phone. If you have Facebook, it will ask you the same thing upon the first time it runs, and will then sync all (or certain, based on your choice) contacts to the phone. Same applies to smoe other accounts, too.
How did you acquire the phone? Brand new in box should be set to factory reset by default, so it should only be your contacts' information. If you bought it used, then it could still have smoeone else's data on it, but you can do a factory reset very easily as well.

But you can reboot it through the settings, i think it was reset to factory.
