My leopard geckos left front arm has a larger elbow. It looks swollen and is pink. It Moves fine. Has no other health concerns. What could this be? And should I be worried?
Is your leo getting lots of calcium? Swollen joints are a tell-tale sign of MBD (metabolic bone disease, resulting from lack of calcium), which is definitely a very serious problem for reptiles.
Best thing to do would be to take your gecko to a vet who can treat reptiles, and give you a definitive answers.
I advocate taking her to the vet. However, if she allows you to touch her, gently touch round her elbow and spot if she reacts another way than usual. If that is so, she could have a obstacle. If now not, watch and see if it will get any better or worse, and go ASAP if it will get worse. Are attempting a shallow warm bath and rub her leg, that is what I do when my geckos show up to have problems with shedding. And that i wager that like humans, it makes their aches and pains a little higher.
