New York or LA? can't decide..?
I plan on going to the states to study in a community college. My 2 choices for the city are NY and LA. My question is which city is better for students? in terms of transportation, safety, cost of living, etc.
A little background of myself: I am a Chinese, 17, and a transfer student hoping to study architecture.

Safety and cost of living is about the same: you'll need to take the appropriate precautions that come with being in a big city, and be prepared for things to be very expensive. New York has a much better public transportation system, so keep that in mind if that's important to you. What you should really be thinking about, though, is the kind of environment you want to be in, especially since that has an impact on the kind of architecture that's favored. LA and the West Coast are more casual and laid-back, while New York and the East Coast are more high-energy and businesslike.
