Hey guys,
I need some help here, I have the Nikon Coolpix s8100 camera..
It is an awesome P&S camera.. but when I record an HD video and I want to edit it on any video editing software I cant because of the codecs.. in Windows Movie Maker.. when i finish editing it and i save to my computer then I can hear sound but no video... the video is still at the begining. In sony vegas it wont let me put it in the timeline. In Cyberlink Power Director 6.0 It wont let me open neither....
what can I DO!!! I need to edit my videos recorded from the coolpix s8100 camera! :(

MOVIE MAKER does not support all file types, not hd, mpeg4, mts, mod, mov or h.264 files. If your camera shoots in those formats you will have to convert to use WMM.
Files associated with Windows Movie Maker
Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wma
Picture files: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .wmf
Vista WMM supports video files asf, avi, dvr-ms, m1v, mp2, mp2v, mpe, mpeg, mpg, mpv2, wm,and wmv
