Are there any types of exorcism that are based in something besides the Christian-type religions? If so has anyone been involved in one and what happened?
Update:And what the ritual is called if you know

ya, drop by a Taoist's temple and you get to see exorcism performed (dispelling evil spirit which possessed in the subject's body) every now and then. It's not as though it's something big enough to shout about to them.
Eastern Orthodox clergymen are capable of conducting exorcisms because they, like the Catholic Church, have the Sacrament of Holy Orders. It is this Sacrament that provides the clergyman with the power to conduct an exorcism, among other things.
With most christian religions and Christian religions (there is a difference), consider the Catholic Church a cult; which means that they are "NOT" doing Christian exorcisms. Most won't understand this; but there are many out there that will; and will agree with me. Yes, Christian religions can do exorcisms. Most christian religions don't do them.
i wouldn't call it exorcism ... but i have a friend who is a psychical researcher and has came across a few cases which could be perceived as possession
but a little counselling and some simple relaxation and visualisation techniques seemed to do the trick
funny isn't it that a catholic would need a priest and holy books etc
but a non catholic needs simple techniques....
maybe non catholic demons are easier to convince to go lol
Yes. I won't elaborate publically, though. Feel free to message me.
