Hi, I'm supposed to do some sort of model that relates to the renaissance time period for history class. It's due in ten days, and I'm basically looking for the easiest thing to do. I found a paper model pretty cheap, and the box made it look easy, but then on ebay it says the difficulty is very difficult! It's a model of the Santa Maria by the way. There are also some plastic models that I could get but all the painting and glue kinda scares me away... Would a paper model be a lot harder or could I manage it? Is there any especially easy models?
Thanks

It really depends on your skill level. A paper model would probably be easier since I'm assuming that all of the pieces are already printed and will need no painting. Also, plastic model making uses much more toxic glue.
Looking at those kits online makes me think that they might be a bit difficult for novice.
Did you think about just making a simple diorama yourself?
You could print out paintings or sketches of a period town, cut out separate 2-d buildings from it, back them with cardboard and make triangle shaped jacks to hold them up. Arrange them in a box to look like the picture, only in 3-d. You could even include people and or somewhat realistic textures for the ground or tree and grass.
Just a suggestion.
Good Luck!
there are a lot of free paper models. and the levels of difficulty are from really easy all the way to out of yer mind if you try to build them.
just google paper models free downloads and the subject that you want from them.
