i am trying to place a time limit on my child's account to stop her from being on the computer past 8pm. i set it up using vista's parental controls, i made sure i did it to my other kids accounts as well (mine is the only admin acc. and no one knows my password because its long and complicated). the first night it worked, they were kicked off if they were on, or they wouldn't be allowed to log in if they tried to get on, but after that it seems that it doesn't work anymore, i saw my daughter on her own account after 8pm. i have checked the settings and the time limits are on, and they are set to everyday. anyone know whats up with the time limits, why they only worked once?

Perhaps the solution is not technology but good old fashioned parenting and letting it be known what the rules are and what the consequences are for breaking them? If I had seen my daughter blatantly breaking the rule I would have taken the computer privilege away for a month.
