I live in a block of flats and I have a cable internet connection. The cable comes out of the wall, into a modem and then into a router. This router [ http://images.dipol.com.pl/pict/n2955+++++++.jpg ] has an antenna and is able to spread wireless internet connection across my flat.
If I buy a tablet, will it be enough to just walk into my flat and it will pick up the wireless internet connection, or do I need to buy and pay for a separate internet option?

A small space such as a flat will be fine to pick up the wireless Internet on your tablet. Make sure your router is password protected so no one else in your block is getting free Internet off you, you will know if it has a password or not as when you try to connect wirelessly it will ask for it, and if you don't have one or dont know the password simply call your Internet provider for help.
Hope this helps
you'll be fine, your router should have a range of up to 38 meters indoors or 140 outdoors
Should be no problem. Just make sure your signal is encrypted and secure.
