I use pencil... There a little more varied and I like to sketch and draw with them... Pens I use for blocking. Not sketching... I haven't seen anything I rather liked in Pen either. Pencils all the way...
Pencil just because not all artists are perfect so there is the pencil which can erase but pen is also a prefrence i prefer when it comes to drawing any final prouduct.
I love pencil because of all the different tones I've learned how to create. I've been using graphite longer, since it's what you learn to write with, and now I use the different degrees (4H to 8B for me ^_^) and I think it's cool. However, I like pen and ink because it forces me to work with my mistakes and use different techniques to create tones. However, with regular ball point pen, it does have a nice look to it sometime, especially blue pen, but it has a funny shine to it, so I only use it when I draw during lessons in school, or at church because I have a short attention span (and the bulletin has a lot of blank space on it) (this is in all seriousness, I love drawing!)
well i draw so pencil but pens r nive when u do calligraphy but yeah pencil

Pencil because pen doesn't come with an undo button or an eraser that works. I've tried those erasable pens, and they're for crap.

Bella,
Pen and ink is the first art I fell in love with, but I almost always do my work in pencil first so I don't make a mess out of the final piece.
I prefer pencil when drawing so i can erase when i mess up and i prefer pen when i write because it looks nicer :)
I like pencils better.
But that's only because I haven't exactly figured out how to use pens in drawing yet...
