Both DS Lites i have had, after awhile when it locks in place when you open the screen, it makes a loud click or snap. its not quiet and soft like when new.
is that normal, cause the dsi is still soft and quiet, but im just wondering, is that normal? or a problem, my other 2 friends had there ds for a while and theres is stil quiet and soft. maybe opening it slower and more from the cener rather flippping it open from only one side.? pleas ehelp thanks, i dont want my DSi to start that clicking sound, i like it softer and quiet.

your opening your DS a little too far back, it goes up at about 90 degrees and then it "locks" to tell you "dude! don't rip me in half!"
and when you do that, it makes an alarming and annoying click to tell you to turn it down a few degrees and play it right. when you get your DSi, don't open it to its full 90 degrees, and that annoying clicking should stop. just open it until there is a small amount of resistance and you should be fine.
hope i helped and good luck. ;)
your opening your ds screen way too big. Try to not open it not too far. You prbably opened the screen at 120 deggres
i dont got a ds
I agree with Johnny, if that doesn't work, call Ninty and ask about your warranty.
