I recently ordered proactiv and it was good, but in the past eight days they have taken out $60 out of my account automatically, has anyone else had this problem, and what can i do to stop it?
When you tried Proactiv they put you on an auto-ship plan. They will bill you at regular intervals and then auto-ship the next batch of Proactiv out to you. The first thing you need to do is to call Proactiv customer service and tell them that you are no longer interested in the product, ask them to cancel the auto-ship. Then you will have to file a claim with your credit card or bank to have the charge reversed, if you did not keep the product that they shipped out when they automatically billed you. If you kept the product, then you are out the $60.
They charge for things they are going to send. It is hard to get out of. You have to cancel it, and they will fight you tooth and nail trying to get you to stay with it. They sell stuff at Wal-Mart with identical active ingredients for a lot less money. And you can buy the parts you need. Call the customer service number. Tell them you want to cancel. They will transfer you. Ask whomever you get on the phone if they can authorize cancellation, if they say no, tell them to get you to someone who can authorize as you don't want to waste your times. It sounds rude, but they will screw with you until you run out of patience and give up. Be firm and you can cancel.
