Hyundai and there warranty are bullsh*t, and Hyundai is not even close to as reliable as a Honda, Toyota, or a Nissan (japanese cars are one of the most reliable) why do you think korea only has one car brand (Hyundai) they have no experience, I'm not making it up i have a few experiences with Hyundai that'll never make me get one even though they look sporty and futuristic and have good ratings some how, here's one of my experiences, my brother girlfriend bought a 2011 hyundai accent (the one that look like a 90s civic hatch) and alls its had it problems and the dealership has shot down anything to be covered by the warranty saying its "normal wear and tear of vehicles is not covered by warranty" you want to know what went wrong first at 7k miles? the transmission sh*t the bed and its a 5 speed the syncros were all messed up and the gear were demolished and my brother and his girlfriend are both experienced 5 speed drivers who take care of the care, a transmission should never be normal wear and tear at 7k miles unless its defective, my brother is a trained mechanic because my dad owns his own business, but he doesn't want to work on it and pay out of his pocket to fix it, my brother got so mad at the dealership guys and they refused to fix anything that went wrong, my brother was causing a huge scene saying he bought the car only for it warranty "blah blah blah" and the dealership called the cops to escort him, anyone in there right mind who spent 14k on a car that lasted 7k miles and its a 2011 would called beserk if it had a 100k warranty and they wouldn't fix it, hyundai is bullsh*t its a knock off of honda that doesn't come close to them, now to the advice side of the question of what kind of car you should get, in my opinion I'd get some type of honda, any year any make of honda i've never seen major problems on hondas if they havent been beat on or had a defect, I'm not a certified mechanic but i grew up helping my dad do oil changes and break jobs and handing him tools and i know quite a bit, and I know honda and Toyota are the two most reliable and definetly don't get an american car either for reliability especially, I'm not sure if you want a used one of a 2010+ brand new car, but your best bet is to get a 2007 prius from a dealership with lower miles and it'll probably have a carry over warranty from the factory on up to 100k or the dealership in general will warranty it, or if you want a brand new 2011 car, i would definetly go with the honda fit, you won't find one thing to not like about it, its roomy, sporty looking (compared to other hatches) fun to drive, very good on gas, and reasonably fast for an economy car, hope I helped in any way, good luck
Mazda 3 is nice, Scion xD, and the Honda Fit are solid. Would love to see what the Ford Focus electric car goes for when it comes out at the end of the year. The Mazda 3 looks sharp.
I particularly have a 2000 Elentra and have had to change the trany. It fee me 3k to purchase a clean, because of the fact the old became into became into to undesirable. Hyundai informed me the 2nd proprietor does not get the ten year/ 100k mile guarantee. My dad has a 2002 accessory and has additionally had to change the trany. luckily he became into nonetheless under guarantee. We checked boards and found out that Hyundai's have a concern with their automatic transmission. I had 81k miles while my trany went out and my dad had 92k. while you're to purchase one purchase a stick and purchase it new.
Hyundai Elentra is fantastic
I have owned 6 Hyundai's since 1997, I have had no issues other than recall repairs which were taken care of for free. 3 accents, 2 elantras and a sonata.
Most automotive experts rate the 2011 Elantra as the best in it's class. Drive one and you will see why.
Hyundais are near or at the top of their class for quality and performance.
Mazda 3...
Awesome Car... Great on Gas...
Consumer Reports the Elantra as a top pick
The Hyundai would ok unless you want the AC, which is unreliable. I would recommend a Japanese.
Hyundai sucks, a fact that isn't an opinion The Nissan and Honda also suck but a little less. You aren't American are you??
