Blue Light

You couldn’t be here tonight,

so I decided to put on my blue light.

I sat in the dark and thought of only you,

and all the things that we wanted to do.

I miss you so much when you are not here.

My body aches to have you near.

well im not really sure this qualifies as sappy, but i once heard a song called "I miss you, and the dishes need washing", and also another one called "i miss ya babe, but my aim's getting better", and one called "you've done something to my heart that i cant fix with duct tape".
