Racial problems.... HELP ME!!!!?
I'm from Puerto Rico but live in the US now. I just moved here cause my dad is a doctor and got a big offer here. I like it here but everyone treats me so badly. They always call me mexican or some other bad name. Some guy even tried to trick me to have sex with him. I don't know why. What do i do?

I am a High School teacher and I too am disappointed in the self-centered and unkind way I see so many young people.
You sound very mature and many, many steps ahead of them. They will continue to name call and bother you at times but you have many things going for you - you have grown into a place already that many of them will never mature to, and your future will be much better because of it. Always keep that in mind.
Never let go of your goals and live with wisdom and know that for what you are going through now it will pay off.
I am sorry you suffer racially - only the most small minded will do that. Consider the source and remember it will not be long until your school days are over - and where you will be will be much better than where they will be.
If you believe in God ask for his help - the Bible says to pray without ceasing and that means just little prayers all the time, and he will be there with you.

I don't know how old you are but, if this is happening in school then you need to make your counselors and your parents aware.

Well racism is every where is just that some people get on with their life and ignore what other people think, so dont let people have you to feel that because of your ethnic background you are less than them, if you go to school try to find people of your kind make friends with them and stick to them so you can feel comfortable if who ever think that you are not good enough then stay way from them and stay close to your people, good luck.
Stand strong. Just remember that you are a good person, who tries to do the right things. Just think that you are going to be someone someday.
keep your head up and if it doesnt feel right in your heart dont do it. also ignor people who try to call you out your race. if they dont have the decency to learn about then move on you dont need them
