Real estate lease topics??
Hi everyone, I'm doing a project that's due on Thursday, April 13, for my real estate class.
Does anyone know of any federal (US) and state laws affecting a real estate lease, as well as a landlord/tenant act? Even a local one? Also, are there like 10 greatest mistakes when you sign a lease? Also, are there horror stories about real estate leases anyone can share?

Google "landlord tenant laws" and your state's name for information.
Every state has their own landlord-tenant laws. You are asking too many questions in one. I dont know how many mistakes are made when you sign a lease. Not reading it primary mistake. Not knowing you can change it with mutual agreement. The landlord not having a move-in date and specific apartment is an oversight.
